Welcome Message from Principal James Hardiman

As College Principal, it is my pleasure to welcome you to North Connaught College of Further Education’s website. I invite you to explore our website, which provides a guide to our full-time, part-time and evening courses, and will assist you in making an informed decision about your future. Each of our courses includes course description, entry requirements, course content, education progression and career opportunities.

The College provides the highest quality education and training to the people of Tubbercurry, Sligo and surrounding counties. All our courses are certified by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), iTEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO and all successful graduates will receive national and international certification awards. Our discipline areas include Business & Administration, Tourism, Community & Social Development, Beauty Therapy, Early Childhood Care & Education, Health & Nursing, Equine, Security and Warehousing.

The College will always take our guidance from Government and HSE recommendations. We have compiled a COVID-19 link on the College website which includes our COVID-19 Response Plan. Reading this document will allow you to fully understand the care we are taking in ensuring our students are as safe as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic. We will update this document as necessary, responding to the situation as it changes. Together with this plan we have included the most up-to-date information and best advice and useful videos.

Hopefully, the website will motivate you to visit the College or just give us a call. You will receive a warm welcome, be provided with an opportunity to meet and communicate with staff and discuss your options. Our College Community is renowned for its caring and supportive atmosphere.

Best regards,

James Hardiman

We have collated COVID-19 journeys of the students and staff of the school as part of our Health Promotion Project promoting positive mental health. It is the hope of the team that this project allows the viewers and readers to reflect, gain insights and form their own coping strategies amidst this pandemic. A PowerPoint Presentation file will be disseminated separately to all student and staff so that you can read at your own pace and at your own time. To those who have participated, our sincere gratitude. Thank you from the Project Team.

TikTok

Niamh Oliver, Joan Tarpey & Caroline Davey from The Advanced Administration Class of 2021 have put together this Tik Tok Video to promote North Connaught College of Further Education in a new, fun and energetic way. It has been worked on as a group project over the past few months and all involved are very proud of how it has come together. This is the first time this has been done and hopefully its legacy will carry on into the future of the college.
All involved would like to thank the principal James Hardiman for putting his trust in this project and Lily Murphy for giving her time and guidance.
