Welcome Message from Principal James Hardiman

As College Principal, it is my pleasure to welcome you to North Connaught College of Further Education’s website.

I invite you to explore our website, which provides a guide to our full-time and part-time courses, and will assist you in making an informed decision about your future. Each of our courses includes course description, entry requirements, course content, education progression and career opportunities.

The College provides the highest quality education and training to the people of Tubbercurry, Sligo and surrounding counties. All our courses are certified by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), iTEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO and all successful graduates will receive national and international certification awards. Our discipline areas include Business & Administration, Tourism, Community & Social Development, Beauty Therapy, Early Childhood Care & Education, Health & Nursing, Equine, Security and Warehousing.

The College will always take our guidance from Government and HSE recommendations. We have compiled a COVID-19 link on the College website which includes our COVID-19 Response Plan. Reading this document will allow you to fully understand the care we are taking in ensuring our students are as safe as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic. We will update this document as necessary, responding to the situation as it changes. Together with this plan we have included the most up-to-date information and best advice and useful videos.

Hopefully, the website will motivate you to visit the College or just give us a call. You will receive a warm welcome, be provided with an opportunity to meet and communicate with staff and discuss your options. Our College Community is renowned for its caring and supportive atmosphere.

Please join us on Tuesday 21st March from 1 – 6pm as we host our ‘Open Day’ event. Come along to see the College, meet with our teachers and support team.

Best regards,

James Hardiman
