Welcome Message from Principal James Hardiman

North Connaught College of Further Education is renowned for its warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere. We congratulate our graduates from 2020-2021 who have been issued with their certificates. We are looking forward to reopening our College, in line with HSE advice and Government directives, in time to welcome new and returning students for the 2021-2022 academic year.

As part of North Connaught College’s commitment to provide a safe return for staff and students, an aide and lead worker representative has been appointed with the responsibility of preparing classrooms, facilities, etc. During induction you will see what the site will look like, and you will also be informed of some of the changes we have made and the protocols that will be in place.

The College will always take our guidance from Government and HSE recommendations. We have compiled a COVID-19 link on the College website which includes our COVID-19 Response Plan. Reading this document will allow you to fully understand the care we are taking in ensuring our students are as safe as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic. We will update this document as necessary, responding to the situation as it changes. Together with this plan we have included the most up-to-date information and best advice and useful videos.

We welcome all off our learners to the College over the next few weeks as we prepare to commence classes on September 20th. For anybody considering a return to education or learning a new skill, check out our Virtual Open Event (click on the orange tab on the Home page), where you will have the opportunity to meet with our staff and discover about the different courses and supports available here at the College. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns and thank you for taking this part of your journey with us at North Connaught College of Further Education.

Best regards, James Hardiman (September 2021)
