North Connaught College will host an Open Evening for night classes on Monday 14th January from 5 – 7pm in the College. Everybody is welcome.

Night classes will commence on Monday 21st Janaury 2019.

Monday Night Classes:

Child Development – Level 6

This QQI Level 6 Child Development course will help learners gain a full understanding of the different theories in child development. Candidates should be able to recognise the differences between these theories and identify where they contrast and complement each other. They will identify the practical implementation of these theories to everyday events in the ECCE.


Introduction to Photography for beginners.  DSLR Camera, Digital Camera.  Students will enjoy this course.

Safety & Health – Level 5

This QQI Level 5 Health & Safety at Work module aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to promote and maintain safety and health in a work environment.

Tuesday Night Classes:

Beauty Therapy

This Introduction to Beauty Therapy course is suitable for individuals with a keen interest in learning the basics of many aspects of beauty therapy and personal grooming.

Care Support – Level 5

This QQI Level 5 Care Support course is designed to give those wishing to work in the healthcare system a thorough grounding in the necessary skills. The course is relevant and highly practical, with each module focusing on a specific area of care.


Introduction to computers course for beginners and Intermediate covering Word processing and Email.

Intellectual Disability – Level 5

This QQI Level 5 Intellectual Disability course is designed for people who wish to work in the area of intellectual Disability, the module is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to provide care for people with intellectual disability and for their families in a variety of settings.

Special Needs – Level 6

This QQI Level 6 Special Needs course content is structured to give a broader, knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding disabilities and or learning difficulties.

Work Experience

This QQI Level 5 Work Experience course is an integral part of an educational process. The experience of work enables learners to develop work skills, evaluate employment opportunities and cope with changing work environments.
